At Cornish Country Chicks, we offer Top Quality chicken and turkey breeds, reared in near Callington, Cornwall. Our poultry enjoy quality diets of chicken feed, mixed grain, grass, and vegetable peelings. All our breeding groups are kept separately to maintain breed purity and quality.

What makes your hatching eggs, chicks, and chickens special?

What's one thing to know about buying hatching eggs from Cornish Country Chicks?
Our hatching eggs are sold fresh, no older than 3-days old. We inspect for cracks and package securely for postage, using Royal Mail 1st Class tracked service.
What should I do when I receive my hatching eggs in the post?
On arrival, make sure the eggs rest pointy sided down for a minimum of 24 hours before putting them in your incubator. Eggs should be stored in a cool place (10-16 degrees Celsius). Be careful when you open up the eggs as often they get stuck in the lid as this is the widest end.
Can I collect the hatching eggs?
Yes, you are welcome to collect, please arrange collection time in advance to ensure we are available.
Are chicks available for delivery?
Our chicks are collection only. We can deliver if local and for a small fee. You are welcome to arrange your own courier, but please ensure animal welfare is your priority.
Can we hatch out specific chick orders for you?
Yes, we can hatch out orders for any of the breeds we have. Chicks need 21 days incubating and we would ensure a few days of stability for the chicks before collection. Please allow 4-6 weeks in total.
Do you have bantams?
No, we have concentrated specifically on the large fowl breeds. We have some smaller breeds; Ayam Cemani, Vorwerks, Meeuwen Groningers, Lavender Araucana, Cream Crested Legbar, Exchequers.
What colour eggs do your chickens lay?
We have a wide range of colours for example; French Black Copper Marans (dark chocolate), Exchequers and Vorwerk (White), Lavender Araucana and Cream Crested Legbars (Blue and Green), and a wide pallet of cream eggs in between.
